Barouk Hut began as a family plot along the stream at Batu 18, Kampung Batu Malim. Weekend after weekend of visiting relatives asking to stay "just one more night" convinced us to build a few proper chalets — and open the gate to everyone.
We keep it small on purpose: three chalets, one river, and enough space between them that your weekend feels like your own.
Clean rooms, hot water, cold air-conditioning, good beds. We'd rather do a few things properly than many things halfway.
The stream is the reason we're here. We keep the banks clean, the water clear, and ask every guest to do the same.
You'll be greeted by name, and there's always someone around if you need extra charcoal, directions, or a dinner recommendation in Raub.
